JUMANJI - THE ANIMATED SERIES - SEASON 1 (2 Discs)

Betteer Than the Movie... Maybe
When this was first broadcast, I passed it up, turned off by the awkward looking animation style. That was a mistake. After scoring this on gray market DVD, I found out what a gem it is. The animation is actually pretty good... just a bit different. The story lines are good, incorporating a variety of villains in the ficticious world of Jumanji.

Two children, Judy and Peter Shepherd, play the magical board game, Jumanji, and are cast into a dangerous jungle world until they solve the clue the game gives them just before they are transported from their attic. As in the movie, Alan Parrish, a grown man who has lived in Jumanji since he was transported there as a child, helps Judy and Peter survive and solve their clues. Villains like the big game hunter Van Pelt, evil inventor Henry Ibsen, and scam artist Trader Slick are broken up by one-shot bad guys. Then there are the Manji tribesmen, a people whose language is a series of nonsensical noises, clicks, and Bronx...

Sony A57 Instructional DVD by QuickPro Camera Guides

Okay just wish it went into more detail
The DVD is well done and covers a lot of material. The only complaint I had was it just touched on the features of the camera. I would have liked more detail and explanations of what the settings did. Maybe that is the next DVD.

Divination

More of a micro budget movie then low budget
Nuthing much happened till about 30 minutes in (felt like college students with a hd video camera through the first act) ... after that is was "ok" from a hd video extreme low budget movie viewpoint. If you do get it ... don't give up till you get in 20 to 30 minutes (or just skip quickly through the first 20 minutes). Some ok "college" type actors are intermixed with decent secondary actors. Sound was ok.

Excellent film...meet your father at the tree...
This is an excellent film in my opinion and isn't your 'typical' Christian or inspirational film despite definitely being appealing to those genres. The characters were realistic and the special effects were great. This is an indie film about spiritual warfare but it's done in such a way that it's not preachy or overly religious despite strong implications so it won't 'beat anyone over the head' so to speak. The acting was wonderfully done as well and hopefully the actors will all have long and healthy careers ahead of them along with the film crew as well. I definitely recommend this film to anyone who likes a good suspenseful film about angels and demons.

You Got Me
I have to say that this time some of the reviews for Divination got me. "It is a must see", etc .I always read customers reviews before I buy or rent a movie. I did it this time for this movie and most of the reviews were positive, so I decided to rent it; wrong decision. This movie is quite boring. The performance of the cast is mediocre. The more you watch the more you want it to be over. I was lucky it was only a rental, though.

Nikon D3200 Instructional DVD by QuickPro Camera Guides

Very informative.
This video is to go with your owners manual. I found it useful to learn more about my camera, mainly for two reasons. The first reason is that it goes more in-depth than the manual and explains the functions. Second is that I personally learn better by watching than reading. I gave it it four stars because I feel the man speaks too quickly. I guess they had a time limit and had to get as much information as possible with in that time period. It is almost an hour and a half, if he had spoken slower I guess it could be more like two hours. At least I can watch it over and over, so it's like having a guy explain your camera to you for an hour and a half as many times as you want. I'd recomend it, especially if your an amature photographer, which you probably are if you're using an entry level dslr like me. In short it is a very informative dvd, I just wish he would have spoke a little slower.

Monster Jam World Finals XIII

GERALD MCBOING BOING COLLECTION (LIMITED EDITION)

fun Dr. Seuss character
Gerald McBoing-Boing is a fun, lesser-known Dr. Seuss story. Instead of talking, Gerald communicates with sound effects, which often comes in handy. My daughters (2 & 4) love this cartoon version. It was a good deal for the money -- 2 DVD's and a book.

A Childhood Favorite
This cartoon was a childhood favorite of mine and it took me a long time to find it even on VHS so when I found it on DVD I was thrilled!
